This week I’m featuring the book I turn to whenever I cannot resist my chocolate craving any longer; Joy the Baker Cookbook: 100 Simple and Comforting Recipes.
The chocolate fudge brownie recipe in this book cannot be matched. It is chocolate brownie perfection. Simple chocolate brownies that are perfect alone, and perfect with any topping you like on your brownies. I’ve had them plain and I’ve had them soaked with lightly salted butterscotch. They are yummy; you need to try them.
Her blog is the digital equivalent of peering through the bakery glass. Your eyes will glaze over when you see the Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies and anticipation will build when you see the Candied Pecan Biscotti. By the time you see the White Chocolate Rose Cake with Strawberries you’ll have your mixer out and your butter softening. Not only are her recipes delicious and her pictures drool-worthy, but her posts are witty and poignant at the same time. So if you don’t buy her book, be sure to check out her website.
