I’m a lucky girl! The ever-so-nice people at Nothin’ But Foods sent me a box of samples. Their granola snacks are full of delicious things like oats, nuts, chocolate and dried fruits. What they don’t have is eggs, butter, wheat, or GMOs. I’m impressed! Why can’t more companies make such yummy snacks with simple straight-forward ingredients.
I don’t like to do reviews, and I don’t accept freebies from people unless I truly believe that their product is inline with my less-is-more food philosophy. On the company’s website they pretty much summed up my food philosophy in one sentence when they say:
That seems so obvious to anyone that had ever made a meal of a sliced tomato, a drizzle of olive oil and a slice of bread, but it seems like such a foreign concept to the super-sized food producers out there. That’s why I’m so excited about these granola bars. They really are delicious. I’m a little embarrassed by how fast they are disappearing from the house.
My personal favorites are the granola cookies. I can’t decide between the Cherry Cranberry Almond or the Chocolate Coconut Almond. As for the granola bars, the Ginger Lemon Cashew takes 1st prize. The cookies and bars are both packed full of nuts and seeds, with just enough sugar to sweeten without making the bars cloying. I snapped this close-up of the Cherry Cranberry Almond Granola Cookies so you could see how much of the good stuff is packed into each cookie.
